Whereas Steve Carver is credited because the director within the American model of the movie, the Italian model omits Carver and names "Michael Wotruba" as director as a substitute. Joe Dante was credited as editor for the US launch of the film, however he didn't work on the film. Dante says "Jon Davison was advised to dream up a bunch of phoney Anglo names to exchange the original Italian credits, and he thought it can be humorous to put my title in there. In an interview, D'Amato mentioned the Italian producer Franco Gaudenzi didn't belief Carver, who was despatched by Roger Corman, and despatched D'Amato to take care of the cinematography and help Carver if wanted. Naked Warriors, is a 1974 gladiator exploitation film directed by Steve Carver and starring Margaret Markov and Pam Grier. Pam Grier and Margaret Markov painting female gladiators in historic Rome, who've been enslaved and must battle for his or her freedom. Miss Markov is as beautiful as she is untalented. Pam Grier was excited to make the movie because it involved a visit to Italy and she had loved working with Markov.
